Life moves pretty fast, If you dont stop + look around once in a while, you could miss it!

Whatever this isnt art!!!

I was on a Connex train the other day and i looked up at an advertisment on the wall. it read,

"The cat is dead
Mum kinda ran it over
ring her tomorrow"

(Moving Melbourne through Art)

haha its soo stupid, and is it poetry? i'm sure there are plenty of good arty things that could represent art in melbourne, so its strange they pick something as weird as this! however since i dont particularly like cats, at least one has died in this "poem"

On Sunday ty and kim and some other people went to the asian new festivals...so i met up with them afterwards for dinner, because i was working. we met in the city and kim decided she wanted to go for "hot pot". in a nutshell you get a pot with soup, and it boils on a stove in the middle of the table and u order whatever u want to put in it, and u watch it cook and you just eat from the pot. for what it was worth it wasnt too exciting. noone had ever had hot pot at a restaurant so we didnt really know how the place worked, so we just ordered all this food, and didnt finish it. but it was a good expereince but not one i'm planning on re-doing again anytime soon! i should really put pics up, maybe next post.

Yesterday i met up with Nat, which was really good. had'nt seen her since before exams, so its been probably 3 months! we went to crown, during her 4 hours work break, and had lunch and then had a $9.50 choc mud cake with a river of choc sauce and ice cream, mmm...i mentioned this piece of cake in one of the early early posts when i went with ty and kim, and we said back then that we wouldnt go back, if only for the fact that the waiters wear bow ties...but yesterday we actually finished the slice so it was good, and it was beautiful weather :)

It turns out that in a couple of days we are getting ANOTHER exchange student. we are FINALLY losing the two chinese moronic wanker of the century on the same day that we get the new kid, so should be fun...and i'm not being sarcastic either, i cant wait to see those girls take their crap and piss off somewhere else!! but the new student is a vietnamese guy AND apparently his mum..ohh yes...his mum is coming along too (but not for another 2 weeks i think) so we are having a mother and son live with us, hahaha, melina asked my mum, "you do realise you have to get along with the mum dont you?" and my mum stormed back in saying, "i'm always nice!!" so two mums in the house, should be interesting!

I'm getting hooked on Stef's coffees. At work she like prides herself on her coffees, but i swear she makes the creamiest latte froth..and the coffee is actually strong! i've now come up with the 2 types of coffees that i usually get when i go out.

1. Strong coffee but no froth OR just airy froth
2. Weak coffee no froth

and another drink, James's ice coffees...there is actually more then 1 scoop of icecream in them..so thats my drink of choice when i'm working a couple of hours and james is working. what my normal ice coffees tast like when i go out..

1. watery milky coffee with that cheap vanilla ice cream

well thats all i can think of for now, i'll try to be abit more regular with the posts

i'm "working" hard.....i really am when i'm needed!

So it turns out there is only so much of the Lonley Planet website you can look at, until the thought of travelling makes u tired just thinking about it...so after 4 hours of scanning it on and off, i thought i would kill the 15 minutes, by updating my blog!!

Today (and as i sit here writing) i am helping my mum with enrolements at her work...and the fact that i'm able to spend 5 hours searching stuff on the net is telling you something about how busy it has been today!! haha and i'm getting paid...its great!

I gave blood for the second time, on tuesday...and it turned out the temp was like 43 degrees, and so for the first time ever, i almost fainted...in CLEGS none-the-less. i was with my mum, buying stuff for kara, and when she was paying for the things, i got really dizzy, so i decided to sit down, and my vision was going blurry...and my mum was getting a little worried, haha, and yeah i ended up lieing down in clegs with a tea towl over my face, sucking a lollie...but all is fine now, so thats good!!

hmm my sister, went to the tennis and has been burnt like crazy...and now has REALLY bad tan lines, which is even more funny because she will have them for the wedding!!! it makes me laugh...and shes peeling...she just asking for skin cancer :) but she has been making fun of my paleness recently, so i dont know where i'm going with that so i'll just leave it...

i like Gilmore Girls!!!!

Quite Boring

It is pretty disgraceful, how long it has been since i last posted...

Well i suppose i should start with Christmas. 2006 was a pretty quiet one, and the day was cold and raining, which hasnt happened in a long time, so xmas consited of eating, drinking, watching 'Kenny', and playing Tombola (ie. bingo)...even though it was quiet it was still a good day, which went very fast!

I really cannot be bothered writing about New Years Eve, because nothing particularily interesting happened, but New years Day was nice...headed to Port Melbourne, to have lunch (which turned into dinner) at my aunty and uncles house...food was really good, weather was humid, and we pretty much ate, drank, watched 'Armageddon', and played Canasta (ie, card game)

So coming up, i should be going to donate blood with kim, getting my license soon and watching the rest of Gilmore Girls Season 5!!!!!!

I paper cutted my rude finger :(

This is yet another delayed post...sorry!

Well exams finished last week, so since then i have been looking for job for a total of 5ish hours, which is pretty bad, but i did apply for Yooralla, which is more working with the disabled but i dont particularly mind, and it would be good just to be able to do something remotly related to what i'm doing at uni, besides Summer School Programs, in which i would have to be around kids YET AGAIN... seriously i need a break from them!! so i'm going to really get into it this week!

Ash quit last week, and had her last shift at AMF yesterday...sooo sad :( Ash was the first person i trained, and consequently the last person i trained..haha! i still remember that day too..i had like 3 days of throwing up due to food poisening, and had to work that weekend...so i felt really bad and looked even worse, and as soon as i walked into the office Mel tells me that i will be training little Ashley...did i have a choice...no, but yeah i was never asked to train up anyone again, so Ash is my one and only prodege! aww...so like i did for Jemma, before she left i gave her a party bag with a pink balloon tied to the end...shut up to all of you who thinks its lame!

Work though this week was good. Simon and I have finally come to the un-spoken conclusion that i'm not totally useless, and is in fact listening to me, and not blaming me for EVERYTHING! some could say that we are now friendly towards each other..shock i know!! but this weekend was good, it was pretty busy, but we were really organised, AND we are actually working as a team these days...another thing simon had picked up! however the downside is, i still have the feeling of regret when i ask someone to do something for me, and realise i just should have done it myself...the simplest tasks like blowing up balloons, or placing napkins on the table, or telling people over and OVER again not to throw out the table cloths (which i will seriously crack it the next time someone does it), turns into the girls being scared the balloons will blow up, therefore blowing up balloons which deflate within an hour (which leaves them floating mid-air, and eventually just dieing), turns into the girls just scattering the napkins over the table, and not actually placing them infront of the chairs, tuns into the girls throwing out 3 tables cloths a party, when i tell them that we are running out...one girl especially, is killing my patience, so she will be the first i have a talk too, absolute wanker!

ohh also turns out the Xmas party might just be all AMF centers having a few drinks at AMF with a couple of games of bowling...hopefully i was dreaming when Pete told me, coz it sounds kinda sucky!

the exchange students cooked dinner tonight: tomato soup with egg, rice, tofu and meat, colliflower and this sausage, peas and carrots, and this canned fish thing which was abit funky...overall it wasnt too bad...wouldnt have it in a hurry again, but still a pretty good effort by the three of them.

well that it for now...i'll blog again soon

i have mosquito bites all over me

I havent blogged for ages, so i will do a quick update. Exams have started and i already have finished Exercise phys, so now i have 3 more to go. Structural kinesiology, Exercise prescription and Motor Control!! fun times.

Friday dinners are still happening. Last week, Andrew and AJ came along, and we went and watched the end of Saw 3...umm personally i'm not a fan of those kind of movies, so i had no problem that we were told the wrong time, and therefore missed everything...i can however tell you the ending which is just stupid.

Work is average. Jemma quit yesterday :( She has been saying she was going to quit for ages, so it isnt a surprise, but its going to be even more boring now. So now Steph, Kat, Ashley and I need to find new jobs and we're home FREEEE!!! or we will just be slack and end up working their for the rest of our lives.

Oh the exchange students excluding young are bloody painful at the moment...they think Kim is a guy and loves me...hahahaha if only they knew!!!!

anyway thats it from me
