Shithole Box Hill

Today i took my new exchange students (Doris and Sarah) to visit their future highschool in Box Hill. It took almost 2 hours to get there, and with what was discussed, i reckon they could have just done it over the phone. So the girls pretty much got an idea of what subjects they were going to do next year in Yr. 11...thats it in a nutshell. What i didnt expect though was a visit from their future homestay parents, who turned out to be the biggest ocka tools ever!! As soon as they walked in, my first thought was, "Damn i feel sorry for these girls"...The guy even had the nerve to lecture me on why i didnt know Italian, "It's sooo important to keep your heritage, make sure you learne it, or else you will regret it blah blah....ohh by the way i can speak a little bit of Italian" AND then he randomly uses italian words when he talks to me, such a dick. i didnt even pretend to care, i was just giving staring at him with a, "Shut the F*&^ up look on my face".

So after that hell ordeal was over, we went back into the city. We went to the bank, but it turned out that both of them forgot their passports as ID so that idea went down the toilet. We then went and bought a birthday card for one of Doris' friends and i had to give kim a call to get an idea of where they should buy one...she came up with the goods!! Sarah also bought a pretty descriptive (fantasy) card for her b/f, which she didnt quite understand but trust me, you dont want your 16 y.o daughters doing that stuff. After that we got some knitting wool, so Sarah can make alot of blue scarves. It was really nice outside and it was still only like 1pm, so i decided i would take them to Docklands. Trust me to get on the wrong tram, but it turned out to be alright...had to give ty a call...she came up with the goods!!!

We walked around the Docklands then headed back to the city, where we then went on the search for a Polo t-shirt...ended up down in "The Basement" at Myer...we bought a girl a guys t-shirt, dont ask. It was then off to Red Silks for lunch which the girls loved. Fist bit of Chinese food they have had since being in Australia, so they were happy. and then it was off home.

Last assignment for uni= COMPLETE

I might just add in a stupid incedent that happened at work on Sunday. I was doing a party with Jess, and i asked her to go and fill up the tomato sauce bottle while i take the balloons to the room. I walk into the cafe where she is doing it and get a drink and she goes, "Prem i think i can handle filling up the sauce, you dont need to supervise me"...i was like yeah whatever...i was watching her doing it anyway, and i was thinking, "why is it taking her so long to fill it up" because the big bottle was full when i had previously filled up the smaller bottle. Jess then starts tapping the bottom, and i was like, "What the", just before the sauce comes out, i take it off her, turn it around and find that she was about to tip in Barbeque Sauce instead of Tomato sauce. The people i work with!!

On the road again...I just cant wait to be on the road again

Today i had my first 'Professional' driving lesson. My goal is to get my licence before the end of the year, even though i have absolutly no car to go to once i actually get it, but i dont particularly like thinking about that or else i will never get my P's.

I cant believe how frustrating it is, when you have learnt how to drive one way, just to be told that you should really be driving this way. For example, just turning a corner, i would normally just push my clutch down and change into 2nd then slowly push on the breaks to slow and therefore turn. TODAY i learnt that i was supposed to slowly break, push on my clutch to change into 2nd, then romove my clutch and slowly break and turn the corner. I got the hang of it, but still, its a pain in the arse. I also learnt how to do a Hand- break start which is always fun! OHHH and i also learnt how to stop without the jolt...that was giving me the shits!

So my next lesson isnt until next week, but i might drag my aunty over on friday for another one =)

On Friday i will be supervising the English exam...most painful meeting in history today, just painful. and then i'm doing some others next week as well, so i'm sure it will be very boring, like the GAT.

Amazingly i havent seen Ty or Kim all week, so nothing to tell on that front, hahah

Just for Kim, to help her boredom!

So its been a pretty quiet week, which is nothing new, but a few things did happen which I will talk about.

Firstly on Wednesday I became a "FIRST TIME BLOOD DONOR" so that was very exciting.

(Also at this moment, my dad just dropped something on his head, has cracked the shits, and is now crying in his room =) )

okay back to the blood. Kim came with me, and it took about 1.5 hours. The actual process involved getting finger pricked to make sure their was enough iron in my blood. they did it twice on me, so I came out with 2 fingers nicely tapped up. When I got onto the chair thing, my first thought was, "Damn these chairs a comfy, I want on". the ultimate lazy boy. Kim was saying that it hurt when they inserted the needle...SHOCK it didn't, hahah but kimmy is sensitive...arnt ya?

Afterwards she had to go and type up her resume, so while she was doing that I started drawing in her diary, fun times!...and honestly I cannot remember what we did after that...ohhh I bought a pair of sunglasses, there we go. So wednesday I hung out with kim for about 7 hours...AND we didnt fight, until the end when she started picking one with me...probably over the sad emicon again.

Thursday I went kickboxing with Ty...we didn't go last week at all, so we were going to just cancel our membership, but it turns out it was going to be like $200 and well I don't even have that much in my account, so we thought we would stick it out for another month, actually go more then once a week, and then see if we still want to stop it.

Friday was dinner. You know the more I write these blogs, the more I think I need to hang out with other people besides Ty and Kim. Every blog!!! so yeah we went and ate at Stalactites (Kim likes to call it Stalatitties) and Ty filled in Kim about her "Fake/joke" boyfriend Garry, which if you heard the story, you really cannot sympathise with ty on this one. We then went and had cake next door, and I learnt how to play "13". ummm defiantly a time killer game if your ever in need of it.

TODAY I went to work from 9-6pm. it was actually not a bad day, pretty busy but Simon was actually helpful, and not a shit like usual. Rosters are still a piece of shit...I will crack it very soon. AND ty has a very good chance of coming and working with me...YAY! hahaha I think it is going to be kinda weird, but we'll see.

Coming up I have a driving lesson on wednesday which I am really happy about. and thats about it.

happy kim?

Down to the Docklands!

Yesterday i went to uni, and it turned out to be abit nerve racking. For my Kinesiology class we have to do weekly 'Study' questions which we then go through in class, which then contributes to your class participation mark. For the last couple of weeks i have been breaking up the questions with the 3 other girls in my class' Jen, Bec and Sylvia, and this week we also got Brett involved. So yesterday morning Jen msged me saying that she wouldnt be coming to uni, and neither was Bec but they would send me their questions. I hadnt got the questions before i left for uni, so i was just hoping that Sylvia had printed them out. I get to Uni, and Brett is there, questions done...so we just had to wait on Sylvia...Sylvia didnt come!!! So out of 10 questions we had 4. And the questions we hadnt got, well its not like these were particularly hard questions to find in the artlices or on the web, so an excuse like, "I couldnt find the answer" probably wasnt going to go down to well with Con, so Brett and I were just sitting there wating for our names to be called AND luckily I got one of the questions i had found...and Brett just had to draw a picture...overall it was very lucky and yet another really boring tute.

After uni, Ty and I planned to go to kickboxing. We hadnt gone all week, and Ty even got a call from the place asking if we were planning on going in any time soon...It was like 33
degrees and really humid, so we decided to skip kickboxing and go and get ice-cream. Of course before we actually went and got ice-cream, we went and ate in Degraves...where Ty told me about her psycho group member...she leads a hard life. Okay so we ate and then decided to go to Docklands...caught the tram and got our ice-cream (which started melting within a couple of seconds and left that bad after-taste, and yet still tasted reallllllly good when you were eating it), and went and sat by the water. It was really nice...we sat there for probably 2 hours.

We ended up heading home at around 6.30pm, and that was pretty much my day.

Kim= Captain Lifeblood, "Give blood!!!"

Well today Kim gave her first ever blood donation...YAY!! and she was feeling very angel like, after saving all those lives and all. I was supposed to go with her, however i kind of booked late and therefore have to do it next week, however i promised i would go with her today so i did. So her appointment was at 11, so we planned to meet at 10.30am...Kim was late AGAIN *shake head*, so these two girls out of the whole of Flinders decided to sit right beside me for 15min, but i must say it was a very good change from seeing Emo kids packed on those stairs..Today they were cleared of any of those very winghy people.

We started walking to the Blood Bank...i asked Kim if she knew where it was Answer: No idea. hahah i could hear her brain working out that answer as she was thinking it...it also turns out all she had eaten was avocardo and stir fry?? and wasnt in the mood for water...she ended up buying some water!! As we were approaching she was getting nervous, which led her to need to pee (no surprise).

Once we entered the place though she was all good...filled out her forms, and probably waited for about 20min before she got to move up to the 'waiting chairs'. I through this sat in the cafe, where the women must have thought i was some crazy person who likes to spend their days in a Blood bank without actually donating any blood..I DONT KNOW..but i sat there for this 2 hour process, and all i could think of was:

1. Next time we are going in the morning
2. Why is kim taking so long...ahh shit she better not be giving her friggin Plasma too
3. I should really get some new music, and bring better reading material.
4. I wonder if i can take photos- yeah probably not =(

Afterwards, we made a wrong turn and ended walking aroung the block, just so we could end up back at Burke street, which we could have been to begin with if we made a left turn instead of a right turn...we were off to Crown to watch 'Kenny', which was pretty good...it was also pretty painful in parts- kenny and the flight attendent, hahaha We walked back to the city and ate...then walked to Parliament...it was a good day! haha hot but good

How was the world created?

Nothing much has happened since wednesday! Saturday night though Ty, Kim and Iwent and saw, "The devil wears Prada" which was pretty good. i went to work in the morning and met up with kim at 430pm. She made me wait 30min at Flinders, which was so full of Emo kids it was scary...i really cant see the facination of spending your day sitting on the stairs at Flinders Street. but what i did notice (besides them all wearing something ripped, spriped, studded, dirty, with black greasy hair which might as well cover they're whole face) was that their either anorexic or fat...even the guys could be mistaken for girls, so bony and flicking hair out of their faces...

So kim and i went and ate, well i ate and she had a skinny latte with 2 equal sugars, then walked through myer until ty was finished working...then it was off to the movie.

After the movie, kim asked about 4 times if ty was hungry, within a 5 minutes
period, and each reply was, "Yes", so we went and ate at ADDIX. thats kims 'salmon brushetta in the shape of a heart, aww...actually in terms of picture taking also, i have taken nothing for over a week, and i didnt even take this picture, kim took it with my camera. so we left and i was crying (laughing) over who knows what...probably from kim being stupidly deaf, and unresponsive, hahah, she does this thing where she just looks past you, with a blank look...and shes a pro at the 'nod and smile' (where someone is talking to you but you have no idea what they said, and your just trying to be polite, until you cant take it no longer, and just have to ask them what the hell they have been crapping on about for the past 20min)...

We took the tram to parliament, and kim decided, because it was such a nice night, to get off at the next station after parliament, however it was too quick for her, so next week it might be 2 stops and so on...she even comtemplated running...she was scaring me =(

When i got off at my station it was a really clear night and a full moon, so i decided to stand in the middle of the street and take a couple of pictures of the moon. facinating i know!!

however some of them came out, and the moon had become oval shaped so i dont know what happened there.

Well work today was pretty good, i like working Sundays because no managers are in until after 5, and everyone is happy, and you have no idea the difference in the atmosphere, you can actually talk to other people that you work with, and have a drink without getting told to do a hundred other things along the way...today it was just Kat and i doing parties, we had 5...but it was pretty bludgy so we had this really long talk in the storeroom about all sorts of things, really philosophical things, and it ended with more questions, but Kat is like really big on needing answers on how the world came about, and god, and i definatly learned alot today!!

okay thats about it...have done shit all this weekend, and i'm sure i'll be regretting it during the week!!

**What to do during a 30 degree day**

This will be short:

So i organised to meet up with Kim at 1pm (because she thought 2.30pm was a crazy hour), and what do you know, we end up meeting at 2.30pm. I ran out of phone credit so i couldnt tell her i was going to be late, however if she was pissed off she didnt tell me (aww)

I was starving, and kim wanted a fruit salad, but we ended up going to the Pancake Parlour, which was pretty good... i finally ordered something i like other then steak!! Kim was so impressed she left a message of, "the service was GREAT, and the food was GOOD"...i think she liked the service!!

After we ate i needed to go to the State Library to do some research, Kim felt like helping, so she started reading medical journals (and at one stage was looking at a book of flowers, because "it was interesting", so i got her to look up Fitt's Law on the web, and she was bored pretty quickly (i think realising that doing waxing is a dream). We stayed for about an hour, then decided to go to QV because i was hungry AGAIN and kim still wanted her fruit salad...i ended up getting a coffee and yes kim got her salad (with god forbid- full cream yogurt or some shit)

Next it was to the supermarket for some stockings (a good alternative to thick leggings), kim thought i was a loser, but when she thought about it, she changed her mind, hahaha! on our way we passed a Cotton On so i bought a couple of t-shirts, and kim was going to buy the same one as me, but decided against it, instead she got a polo t-shirt and a zip up jacket. we also checked out Target but there wasnt much.

we then walked back to Flinders and that was pretty much my day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMMY!

Saturday was Kim's b'day...and as she so lady-like puts it, "FUCK i'm 20!!". Ty, kim and I have probably been talking about this day for a good month...and kim had nooo idea what she was going to, because her only passion (waxing) was abit of a no-no...but on Thursday, she was enlightened by the thought of going to the:

So i met up with kim and some of her "other" highschool friends- AJ, Andrew, Lan and Christine(who we will see pictures of later) at a restaurant which i refuse to mention, before meeting up with ty at 6. there was abit of drama about parking and blah blah, in a nutshell we got to the show before it closed! BONUS!

okay at the ***SHOW***before we could even go in, we had to do some ticket scalping...kim and i sucked...but her friend Chris (who does this stuff for a living) gave us a breakthrough..AND Success, they were sold!

So the Showgrounds are massive, and so we decided to check out the showbags, and get that out of the way, before we headed to the rides. Ty was going abit crazy over Spongebob Squarepants..but she got about 4 showbags, a krusty the clown doll, and a inflatable 500kg hammer (kim got one too) and what more can you say except, the girl is VIOLENT!

After the showbags were done, we were trying to pick a ride to go on. the boys were, "afraid" so none of them went on any, but ty and i were itching to go on one, so we decided on 'Cliff Hanger' which i thought was pretty boring...your on your stomach and you just go around in circles, ty was priceless though, she was screaming like a crazy person, and all i could here was, "premm i'm falllinggg" and i looked over and shes grabbing the bar an had her head pressed really hard against it, hahahah it was soo funny. After that we wanted more, so we decided on 'Space roller', and all the girls went on it, and it was awesome...it was twisting andgoing forward and backward and sideways and it was soooo much fun!!! hahah after that we were going to go on the biggest one there, but the line was pretty long, so we decided on, 'Hard Rock'. As soon as i bought the ticket and was looking at the ride going, i was regretting my choice, because it looked really boring, but it was sooo much worse then the other 2 rides. This was a cray ride, your going side-to-side really fast, while spinning and your doing all this crazy shit, and it didnt feel to good afterwards, AND it was the BEST one we went on.

we needed a break after,'Hard Rock' so we figured we would play some of the games...and we didnt win anything =( but we did make our way down to the monster trucks and watched that for abit on the big scr
een, all the while ty was beating the crap out of AJ and Andrew, who have alot to learn about encouraging her!!!

When we left the Show, Chris and Lan headed home, but the rest of us decided to go to crown for something to eat (other then Warheads and chocolate). it was packed with the footy crowd. we got out of there at around 12.30, and duy dropped me home.

But the day went really well, Kim said she had a REALLY good time!! which the most important thing.
